Attached pergolas have a multitude of benefits. They tend to be the more budget-friendly option since they don’t require quite as many materials as a freestanding one. (Attached pergolas are usually anchored by two outer posts while the other end is secured to the house itself.)

The end result was horrible.
Our requests:
Remove grass and place a paper patio. We requested Red pavers because our house is a Red brick house and there's red brick surrounding that area. They quoted us for the color "Territorial" and they installed GREY pavers.
Install turf, we had the shaped outlined. They cut the wrong shape.
Grade the yard and spread out the rock. The ignored 2 areas of our yard. The entire east side of our house and another smaller area. When we brought this up, the salesman claimed we never asked for these areas to be done. That is not true.
Install flagstone pavers that we had. We laid them out prior. They left some aside on our patio and some are broken and move when they're walked on.
They offered to come out and grade the area they ignored if we paid for the labor. But they did such a horrible job with everything else it wasn't worth giving them anymore money.
Over 13.6k for the wrong color paver patio, wrong shape of turf and an awful looking patch or quarter minus behind our pool (that we didn't ask for or approve). The salesman even admitted during our final walk through that it looked "worse" when they spread the rock out (which is what we asked for) and so HE decided to have them pack a bunch of quarter minus there instead. Why was that his decision to make for us?
We would have added more rock if needed. We didn't understand why they didn't speak to us before deciding to pack that whole area with the quarter minus. Now if we add rock to that area it will look like a hill. So we have to remove some of that material so that when rock is added it will blend with the rock on either side.
We initially received a quote for 4k less than Turf Monsters from another company. Turf Monsters offered to work with us and reduce the cost. It was still over 1600 to work with them instead of the other company and we will end up paying the same now because our yard isn't finished. We didn't ask for anything fancy, no irrigation, drip system, plants or trees. Just the paver patio, Turf and grading and spreading out the rock we had. We knew we needed more rock because it was included on the other company's quote, which we shared with Turf Monsters. Very disappointed in their work. There was no quality and no attention to detail.
