Will weeds grow through synthetic turf?

Does imitation turf fade or discolor with age?

Top-quality artificial turf is UV stabilized, providing protection against fading through the addition of special ingredients within the fibers. A little fading may occur over the course of several years, but generally, the overall color tone remains the same as when you purchased it.

Lower quality turf, which does not have UV protection, is easy to spot as it fades under the sun much faster, especially in Central Arizona with our intense heat and sunlight.
